Ellen O’Connell, White Plains resident and retired English teacher will moderate a discussion of Isabel Allende’s novel A Long Petal of the Sea (2020). This epic portrayal of the Spanish Civil War unfolds over decades and across continents. However it “isn’t just a beautiful story well told…” it provides “the solace of wisdom when we need it most, wrapped in a love story.”
