This program is an opportunity for teens and new adults to find their way into activism and learn how to participate in causes that are important to them. This program includes: Identifying your activist archetype; Exploring your "origin" story (why you care about social justice in the first place) and finding out how to use that to fuel your social justice work; Choosing your cause(s); Building a plan of activism that is sustainable for you; and Finding and building community. With a breakout session, Q&A, a workbook, and more this engaging, interactive, 2 hour workshop will expand your idea of what activism looks like and help you make the impact you wish to make. Omkari Williams (https://www.omkariwilliams.com/) speaks to groups and teaches classes on how to find your way of making a difference in the world. With a specialty in working with introverts and Highly Sensitive Persons, she helps quiet activists as well as those comfortable in the spotlight.
