Ellen O’Connell, White Plains resident and retired teacher, will moderate a discussion of the the novel The Round House, by Native American author Louise Erdrich. This National Book Award winner, published in 2012, recounts the story of a boy on the verge of manhood, who searches for justice in the face of a horrific crime that transforms his family. “This novel showcases Erdrich’s extraordinary ability to delineate the ties of love, resentment, need, duty, and sympathy that bind families together,” —Michiko Kakutani, NYT.
