Dates for the series are Oct. 13, Nov. 3, Nov. 17, Dec. 8, Dec. 22, Jan 5, 2023, Jan 12 (film discussion). In varied settings and cultures, the collection gathers more than a century of classic short stories about having, becoming, loving and losing fathers. A copy of the book is held on reserve at the Hub/Reference Desk for reading in the Library, with circulating copies available through the catalog. For this session please read "His Father's Son" by Edith Wharton (p.287) in which a prosperous widower has a given everything to his successful but ungrateful son. Program is supported by the Friends of the Library.
