Date: 5/24/2018

As part of Haitian Heritage Month, the Library has partnered with the YWCA and the Haitian Resource Center to host a community conversation about issues currently facing Haitian, Hispanic, Muslim, and other
communities in Westchester County. Building on last year's event with Ibi Zoboi about her book "American Street," this event will feature community leaders in conversation with anyone who attends and wishes to participate. There will be refreshments provided. Last year, Ms. Zoboi told us, “Sometimes it’s not just a matter of leaving somewhere; it’s aiming for something more, something that you feel that you deserve.” This is a program of the YWCA Reading To End Racism Book Club.
