Date: 9/7/2023
Start Time: 2:00 PM

Description:
Learning the basics of knitting or crochet with Kat & Kristen! We will first go over how to start a knitting project by casting on stitches on regular size 10 or 9 needles. We will proceed to knit a row. By working this way we can begin our first project: a knit (K) scarf. Those who prefer starting with crochet can be taught the chain and first single crochet row. Yarn and Size 10 knitting needles or a size J crochet hook will be provided as well as 1 skein of yarn to get you started. When registering, please provide an email address so you can be contacted for confirmation of whether you wish to receive knitting or crochet supplies. Experienced crafters who do not need supplies or instruction are welcome to attend, and do not need to register. We will meet once a month to continue projects. Future dates TBA. You can email Kristen at kthornton@whiteplainslibrary.org with any questions.
