To celebrate National Poetry Month, Ellen O’Connell, White Plains resident and retired English teacher, will moderate a discussion of the poems in An American Sunrise, by Joy Harjo. An acclaimed performer and writer and enrolled member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, Harjo is serving an unprecedented third term as the 23rd Poet Laureate of the United States.
