Description:
 Building on this past spring's close reading of Toni Morrison's novel "Beloved," Slow Reading will dedicate the Fall 2020--Spring 2021 sessions to an in-depth study of some masterpieces of African-American literature. Featured on September 14 and 21 is "Sonny's Blues" by James Baldwin. The story can be found in Baldwin's "Going to Meet the Man" (1965) among other collections.
