Ellen O’Connell, White Plains resident and retired English teacher, will moderate a discussion of “The Library Book” by Susan Orlean, award-winning reporter for the “New Yorker” and bestselling author. Orlean expands her investigation of the catastrophic Los Angeles Public Library fire of 1986 into the story of her own lifelong love of books and the vital role of libraries and librarians. A “New York Times” Notable Book of 2018 and something ”Everybody who loves books should check out” (“Washington Post”; pun intended, we’re sure!), “The Library Book” is available in both our print and Overdrive/Libby digital collections, including audiobook versions.
