For older adults and adults with disabilities, Itís Your Move to Better Health is a free three-part program to help individuals eat better, reduce stress and increase their activity and exercise. Itís a very interactive program with a great deal of input from the attendees. For instance in Itís Your Health our first session includes a discussion of the food groups, portion size, the plate method of planning a meal, recipes and more. In the second session we go on to reading labels (brought in by attendees), unit pricing and strategies at the grocery store.
We introduce some free phone apps in several of the sessions that can be used to enhance your knowledge of packaged food content, calorie count, track your diet and exercise, use for stress reduction, etc. Each weekly session lasts approximately 1 hour.

Itís Your Health. For seniors & adults with a disability over 18, this peer led 4 week workshop features four sessions including healthy eating, stress reduction, fitness, phone apps and online information sources.

Itís Your Grocery Bag
Dietician led workshop on Eating for Optimal Aging takes a scientific look at how eating well can enrich your life and the natural process of aging.The program is free but registration is required.
All sessions are free. Registration is required. Participants are encouraged though not required to attend all sessions.
